Description
Commonly known as Guadalupe palm, is a fan palm which may grow up to 13 metres tall. The colors of the leaves are light green to deep green on both sides. The fruits when mature are edible, as where the name comes from in Latin. This palm needs full sun and thrives on poor, dry and rocky soils, although it has proven to grow better in cultivation with extra irrigation, as long as the soil is well drainage. This palm is not well adaptable for indoor use.
